This policy explains what the Dunno mobile app collects, why it collects it, who else handles that data, and how you can delete all of it. Dunno is a price-comparison app for Uzbekistan. Browsing products and comparing prices needs no account. One thing worth saying up front: price offers and comparison results in Dunno are never paid for, never promoted, and never reordered for money.
The Dunno mobile app (app id uz.dunno.app) is operated by Ovoz Oy, a company registered in Finland at Bulevardi 7, Helsinki. Ovoz Oy decides what the app collects and why, which makes Ovoz Oy the controller of that data.
For anything in this policy — a question, a request, a complaint — write to support@dunno.uz. Privacy requests are handled through the same address.
Dunno may show banner advertising inside the app. Those banners can be promoted or affiliate placements, which means someone paid for them to appear.
Price offers and comparison results are a different thing entirely. They are never paid for, never promoted, and never reordered for money. What you see is the price we collected from the store's public listing. No store can buy a better position in a comparison.
The first time you open Dunno, the app creates an anonymous session for you. It is not an account and you hand over nothing to create it — it exists so that search, category browsing and price comparison work immediately, without signing up.
Signing in is required for exactly two things: the AI assistant, and saving products. You sign in with Google or with Apple. Everything else in the app works signed out.
When you sign in we receive and store the account identifier from that provider and the email address attached to it. We never see your password — Google and Apple handle that. If you use Apple's private email relay, the relay address is all we see.
Here is everything the app collects, and what each item is for.
Onboarding profile. During onboarding you can tell us your gender, your birth year, and which categories, brands and keywords interest you. We use this to choose which products to recommend to you.
Your activity in the app. Products you save, products you viewed recently (the Continue shopping row), and the searches you run.
AI assistant conversations. The messages you send to the assistant, its replies, and any photo you attach to a conversation.
Device and app information. Basic technical information about your device and which version of Dunno you are running, used to keep the app working and to diagnose problems.
Push notification token. If you allow notifications, we store the token needed to deliver them. Turn notifications off and it stops being used.
To run the app's features: search and category browsing, price comparison and price history, recommendations built from your interest profile, saved and recently viewed products, the notifications inbox, the AI assistant, and the invite flow.
To understand how Dunno is used in aggregate, so we can fix what is broken and improve what is not. That is product analytics. We do not sell your personal data.
To measure whether our own advertising works — that is, whether someone who saw an ad went on to install Dunno.
We use a small set of service providers. Each one receives only what it needs to do its job.
Supabase — database, accounts and authentication, file storage, and the backend functions the app talks to. Most of what the app stores lives here.
PostHog — product analytics: which screens are opened, which features are used. We use PostHog's EU region.
OneSignal — push notifications. It receives the notification token and the message to deliver.
Meilisearch — product search. It receives your search query and returns matching products.
Google Sign-In and Sign in with Apple — authentication, when you choose to sign in. They confirm who you are and pass us an account identifier and an email address.
Ovoz Oy is based in Finland and these providers operate internationally, so your data is processed outside Uzbekistan. Each provider works under its agreement with us and may use this data only to provide its service to Dunno.
Dunno asks for camera and photo library access for exactly one reason: attaching an image to a conversation with the AI assistant. Nothing else uses it.
If you decline, the rest of the app works normally — you simply cannot attach photos. You can revoke the permission at any time in your phone's settings.
Conversations with the AI assistant, and the images attached to them, are stored encrypted. Each user has their own encryption key.
Because that key belongs to you alone, destroying it makes the stored conversations permanently unreadable — which is exactly what happens when you delete your account, described below.
We keep your data for as long as your account exists. Delete the account and the data goes with it; there is no separate archive we hold on to.
You can delete your account yourself, in the app, under Settings. You can also ask us to do it by writing to support@dunno.uz.
Deletion happens in this order: your encryption key is destroyed, which makes your stored AI conversations and attachments permanently unreadable to anyone, including us; then your stored files are removed; then the account itself is removed.
One caveat, stated plainly: routine system backups may still hold copies of your data until those backups expire and are overwritten in the normal course of operating the service. We do not restore deleted accounts from them.
You can ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to a particular use of it. Write to support@dunno.uz and tell us which.
Sometimes we need to confirm that the data really is yours before we act — usually by asking you to write from the email address on the account.
If you are not satisfied with how we handled your request, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live.
Dunno is not directed at children under 13, or under the higher minimum age set by local law where one applies. We do not knowingly collect data from them.
If you believe a child has given us data, write to support@dunno.uz and we will remove it.
This policy covers the mobile app. The dunno.uz website itself is a small marketing site: no accounts, no forms, nothing to sign up for.
It sets one cookie, NEXT_LOCALE, which remembers whether you want the site in Uzbek, English or Russian. That is the only cookie it sets.
If what the app collects changes, we update this page and change the date at the top. This version takes effect on 29 July 2026.
If a change materially affects how your data is handled, we will say so plainly rather than leaving you to notice a new date.
